Provide a functional and safe environment by adhering to Deer Valley Resort Service and Safety Standards.
Oversee all installation, repair and upkeep operations of HOA, owner and company facilities.
Lead maintenance department to ensure that day-to-day operations run smoothly and take actions that are in line with the strategic goals of Deer Valley Resort.
The Live-in Maintenance Manager is asked, but not required, to live at the property full time.
If living at the properties, a one-bedroom residence is provided to the Maintenance Manager as part of the compensation package.
All utilities are included.
If not living at the properties, compensation will reflect accordingly.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of five years management experience in the maintenance industry Minimum of two years management experience in the hospitality industry Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Word and Excel Knowledge of a wide range of maintenance areas, including general repairs, electrical, HVAC, painting and drywall, basic construction, plumbing, refrigeration, pumps and motors Extensive hands-on experience in all areas of building maintenance including hot tub maintenance & snow shoveling Possess strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage a team with diverse skill sets in a productive and efficient manner, while developing individuals to become more skilled maintenance technicians Possess tremendous patience and understanding, superior problem-solving skills and have a great sense of humor and professional demeanor Must be able to multi-task, be organized, and prioritize effectively Working knowledge of budgets and front office accounting procedures Working knowledge of Manager Plus is preferred Must be able to manage the maintenance staff required for the daily operations in Empire Pass, including the HOAs, management only and rental management residences in contract with DVRL&M Must be able to lift 30 -50 lbs.
and have a valid driver's license, with good driving record JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Scheduling and overseeing all maintenance related work by managing a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors Recruit / terminate maintenance staff as necessary Ensuring all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and OSHA guidelines Forecasting, ordering and price negotiating for spare parts inventory, tools and sub-contractor work Develop new operating procedures, tools, assets and staff to improve productivity Work closely in conjunction with all Empire Pass departments and department managers to foster a spirit of teamwork and cooperation Have working knowledge of all department operations in Empire Pass and cross train as needed in order to develop better awareness of how maintenance operations are able to support the complimentary departments As a member of Deer Valley management TEAM, demonstrate and uphold all DVR policies and provide corrective discipline action when necessary Demonstrate proactive guest, owner and employee problem resolution with urgency, respect and empathy Document problems and resolutions and respond promptly to all owner and guest requests Receive and review incoming department invoices, code and submit check requests Research any questionable invoices/discrepancies and communicate with vendors Ensure all month end procedures are accomplished in a timely fashion Ensure staffing levels provide quality coverage and effective workflow in the maintenance department Attend and participate in weekly department manager staff meetings Implement controls/checklists, as appropriate Ensure staff professionalism through coaching, adherence to dress codes, maintaining uncluttered and well supplied workspace, proper training materials and clear channels of communication Inspect and monitor all HOA, owner and company assets Provide oversight related to all building management and maintenance issues, monitoring of maintenance projects to completion prior to owner or guest arrival, including working with sub-contractors Assist in managing and developing the annual operating budget for Empire Pass and multiple HOA budgets, within Empire Pass Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Pay:
$50,000 - $65,000 per year.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
