Audio Visual Tech
Summary of essential job functions:
Sets and strikes audio visual equipment (sound systems, microphones, basic meeting room projection, etc.) in the required areas of the property.
Operates AV equipment according to personal abilities
Gives support to other departments involved in the set-up, strike and operation of the events (Show Service, Scenic, Freelancers, Hotel s staff)
At all times is available for clients, hotel and show personnel needs
Maintains effective communication and feedback with the Banquets and Maintenance Department regarding the logistics of setting up and striking an event
Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with Hotel, potential and existing hotel clients.
Developing and maintaining excellent relations with co-workers always encouraging good communication and teamwork attitude.
Reviews and follows up flow sheets of the day
Protect equipment from damage or theft. Reports damaged equipment to the Audio Visual Director
Projects a professional image, always respecting uniform and appearance based on Hotel s standards.
Complies with additional requested tasks by the Director of Audio Visual and or Assistant Director that will benefit of the Company and or clients.
Maintain clean and safe warehouse and working areas.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree or related career in AV Industry is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have High School Diploma
Minimum of 2 years proven experience in similar position
Hotel AV experience helpful
Excellent appearance
Teamwork oriented
Able to work long hours and Holidays
Knowledge of and working experience in event productions and organization
General basic knowledge of lighting, sound systems, video and related AV topics
Ability to respond appropriately to changing priorities and to anticipate and accommodate AV needs as required
Service oriented with attention to detail and deadlines
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
Able to work under pressure and deal with changing situations
Ability to work with many different types of people on many different levels
Ability to receive orders and direction, and efficiently follow through to completion
Skill in oral communications.
Ability to follow standards.
