Backcountry currently has three ODAT sites that serve 3 different customer segments: (Outdoor), (Action Sports), and (Bike). What sets ODAT apart from other retailers? We offer only one product at a time for a screaming deal until it sells out, and then we throw up another sick deal until it sells out, and so on.
The Flash Sales Merchandiser sits at the helm of each site, selecting what product goes on the site, when it goes on the site and for how long. You'll select, sort, and price products in order to maximize customer excitement, margin $, turn and advertising $. To the hordes of devoted ODAT junkies, you will be their demigod.

About the Job
Program Steep and Cheap daily:
o Selection of products
o Time of day to list each product
o Price of each product
o Quantity of products to list
o Choose specific products for daily email campaign
o Ensure product is present on the site at all times
Make real time adjustments to program throughout the day:
o Start/stop listings
o Quantities
o Products and times
o Marketing levers
Plan collections calendar:
o Plan collection's calendar to drive sales volume and margin dollars
o Coordinate collections with incoming product and off price dates
o Plan collections with seasons and trends
o Plan collection's calendar to coordinate with marketing calendar
Coordinate with Marketing and Merchandising to:
o Inform what's exciting to the customer and what inventory is desired and/or needed
o Plan, prepare and analyze collections of products, including the creation of creative briefs
o Create theme days and coordinate emails and product listings for the theme day.
o Perform or coordinate social marketing of website via Facebook fan pages and site forums.
Communicate with content and imaging about priority SKUs.
Work with product and engineering team to improve and refine programming tools, as well as help inform the user experience.
Assist with customer service inquiries as needed.
Must be open to some evening/weekend hours to support busy selling periods.
About You
High School Diploma, college degree preferred.
Analytical thinking approach and strong math skills (i.e. financial planning, analysis)
1-3 years' experience in merchandising or retail/selling experience in a relevant industry.
Microsoft Office skills including Excel experience.
Involvement in and enthusiasm for the industry that applies to the specific ODAT site.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
