Deer Valley is an award-winning destination ski resort that typically has positions available in lodging, ski school, casual and fine dining food and beverage operations, ski rental shops, mountain operations such as groomer, snowmaker, ski patrol and everything in between!
PURPOSE OF POSITION : The Daly Bowl Cashier is to assist employees in the employee dining room and to ensure correct and prompt cash and charge transactions, and maintain correct balance in bank. A cashier also rotates shifts as manager requests to work in or set-up any area of lodge.
### SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Good command of the English language. You have extensive contact and communication with our guests, so it is very important that you speak English well
Previous cash handling experience is helpful
Honest and reliable
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Report for work in time to be clean and in proper uniform
Be sure that register is stocked with appropriate items such as rolls of register tape, etc.
Obtain cash drawer from manager, count cash, and take to register at beginning of day
Have a working knowledge of all acceptable forms of payment including DV Doe
Have complete knowledge of all food and beverage products
Remain at your station during the day. If you need anything, have someone find the manager
Notify manager of any voids or refunds before end of day, and close-out register with manager. You are responsible for any shortages from an unbalanced bank.
Empty trash and replace with new trash bag
Take your days transactions to the accounting department where your manager will count your cash, and store your cash drawer in the safe
Take two signed forms from accountant to your manager's office
Assist with stocking EDR supplies such as napkins and condiments
