Deer Valley is an award-winning destination ski resort that typically has positions available in lodging, ski school, casual and fine dining food and beverage operations, ski rental shops, mountain operations such as groomer, snowmaker, ski patrol and everything in between!
PURPOSE OF POSITION : The purpose of this position is to interact with our Deer Valley Resort guests and ensure they have a great experience when dining at the resort. Restaurant Servers are responsible for positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our guest needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. Servers are expected to have some basic cooking knowledge.
SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be 21 years old
Previous serving experience required
Excellent oral communication skills required
Positive interpersonal skills required
Minimum 3 years fine dining experience as server
Thorough knowledge of wines
Excellent communication skills
Standing for long periods of time
Lifting and carrying 25-50 pounds
JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Prepare dinner setting each shift. Duties to include but not limited to: polishing glassware and silverware, preparing beverage station, setting of dinner tables, etc.
Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations
Handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, and informing customers about food preparation details
Maintaining proper dining experience, fulfilling customer needs, offering drinks, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.
Basic knowledge of wine list. Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change
Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
Assisting with special events as needed
Greet all guests and owners warmly with an appropriate greeting
Adhere to Deer Valley Resort grooming and appearance standards consistently
Understands and can communicate products and services available at the resort
Other duties as assigned per Food & Beverage Department
