PURPOSE OF POSITION : The Bakery Counter Attendant is responsible for presentation and display of baked goods and pastries. The emphasis is on high quality, appearance, and service to our guests.
### SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to follow directions
Must enjoy working with guests and be able to be gracious, courteous and helpful at all times
Must be able to work well with other employees
Must be able to lift full sheet-pans, 20 lbs.
JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Punch in on-time with a well-groomed appearance and in clean, full uniform
Bake cookies throughout the day according to skier forecast and need
Display baked goods in an appealing fashion, on time, according to bakery set up description
Keep front station well stocked, clean and organized, according to bakery set up description
Completely restock all areas used for front bakery station, including walk-ins, front bakery reach-in, and under-counter shelves
Complete the Bakery Counter Attendant worksheet for your shift
Communicate with back bakery, at the beginning, throughout, and at the end of your shift if you have any needs, concerns, comments, or quality issues
At the end of your shift, check out with the supervising baker
Follow Deer Valley policies and procedures.
Strive for a high Deer Valley quality with consistent attention to detail
Go above and beyond guest expectation. Present a courteous attitude and smile and be helpful.
If you don't have an answer for a guest or if you are unsure of a situation, refer guest immediately to a supervisor
Work in cooperation with all employees
Be flexible as needed--be ready and willing to undertake other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Uniform requirements (Chef pants, Chef jacket, scarf, hat, 4-way apron, nametag and time clock badge) are provided by the company. Employee must provide sturdy work shoes. Keep in mind that slippery floors and ice exist.
